Hopper

A take on the game "Leaper" by Bug Byte. Made for Round 5 of the Game Dev Knockout jam.

You play as Hopper,  a bird out to feed her chicks. Jump up through gaps in the tree branches to gather fruit, then weave back down to feed your chicks. Get all 6 pieces of fruit to win!

The biggest adjustments from the original Leaper are health pickups, jumping, and the enemies. You can jump whenever you want (not just when there is a gap above you). The enemies (acorns) also don't fire projectiles but simply move horizontally across the screen. There are seed pickups that fully restore the player's energy meter.

I think these changes make the difficulty of the game more reasonable.
